COMMISSION WITH A CAUSE
TRIO No. 2 for FLUTE, VIOLIN, and CELLO
Update (July 7): Okay, so I'm a bit behind schedule...but this is going to be worth the wait! The trio is five movements so far, and more than twenty minutes of music. At this moment, movements I, II, and IV are finished, the third is about 75% complete, and V is roughly sketched out. Thanks for your patience, and keep the donations coming, because I've also found the scholarship recipient! More on that once I finish. Back to work...
Update 2 (August 18th): The first four movements are finished. I am working on the Finale, and once I finish that I will go back and revise and tighten everything up. Hoping to wrap everything up by mid-September.
Until I finish this work, (hopefully in the next month), 80% of your commission donation will be used to establish a scholarship for Chilean Flute, Violin, or Cello students in need.
I aim to raise $4,000 USD. This amount will enable purchase or fabrication of a quality custom instrument (rare in Chile), or possibly fund a semester of professional study; a tremendous gift for a dedicated student who deserves recognition and support for their hard work.
As a commissioner your name, memorial statement, or institution will be inscribed at the top of the score. Given the position my first trio has carved out in the repertoire, this new work will likely become a fixture on trio programs at universities and concert halls internationally, as well as archived in several institutional libraries. Furthermore, future income associated with this work through website sales, publisher royalties, and performance royalties will also be subject to the 80% donation model, hopefully permitting the scholarship to be disbursed annually in perpetuity.

The work will be completed by July 15th, 2019.
